What happened to the humans? Set in a post-apocalyptic world strewn with cast-off pieces of machinery, Primordia tells the story of Horatio Nullbuilt, who finds his peaceful existence threatened when a rogue robot steals his power core—the sole source of energy fueling his ship and keeping him alive. To recover it, the robot and his companion, Crispin, must leave behind their idyllic home for Metropol, the city of glass and light. Their quest to reclaim what has been taken away will lead Horatio to unexpected discoveries about his origins—and a new understanding of the humans who walked the earth before him.
Puzzles that emphasize logical thinking and exploration rather than trial and error or pointless backtracking.
A streamlined interface, player-friendly design combined with the challenge and depth of the classics.
Features over fifty hand-drawn rooms to explore, dozens of distinctive characters to meet, and gorgeous painted cutscenes to soak in.
Well worth your time and $. I found the puzzles logical but challenging. The artwork and music capture the mood perfectly and the voice acting is 100% perfect. Well done - if you like adventure games, this is a good one.
If you’re a fan of Lucas Arts and Sierra Games adventure games like Monkey Island, Full Throttle, King’s Quest, etc. you'll love Primordia :D. Crispin <3
It's rare for videogames to have good stories. This game does. It also has good voice acting and graphical style.
The music is amazing, and here on GOG you get the soundtrack for free! GOG rules for that. ; )
Many reviewers go into what's great and what's not about this game -- and they are right. The puzzles are good, but sometimes difficult to spot near the end. Crispin - your constant side-kick and helper - does get annoying at times. But he grew on me throughout the game.
Overall , rich story and deep, fair logical puzzles make this a great game. Sure the game ain't perfect, but it's flaws are minor. Just get this game already. : )
Cyberpunk adventure that grabs you right from the start. Although the setting reminds me of Beneath the steel sky - guy from the desert comes to the big city with his robot companion (well, both are robots in this case, but anyway...), the storyline is original and a bit darker.
If you liked other games published by Wadjet eye games you would most definitely like this one as well.
Primordia is a point-and-click adventure in the spirit of classic science fiction. A vast wasteland of rust and scrap, a city of lights crumbling, ancient technology...If Harlan Ellison played video games I believe he would feel right at home in the world of Primordia.
I didn't buy it at first (literally and figuratively). Coming off of Resonance I was all set to see what Wadjet Eye would publish next and Wormwood's Primordia, while stunning in the visuals department, left me wanting after I saw the trailer. It released. I went on. But I was nagged by my own brain and eventually I bought it and soon drowned in the imagery, the lore, the experience that is Primordia.
I apologize if this seems pretentious but I am legitimate when I say no one should miss playing this. It is a wonder and I hope the men and women of Wormwood and Wadjet Eye receive the recognition they deserve for this gem.
