What happened to the humans? Primordia is delightful, smart and packed with personality, but it also comes to a close just as you're ready to explore more of its engrossing world. Leaving the player wanting more is no great disaster, of course - and the truncated length makes it tempting to go back and try to earn some of the different endings - but it still feels like a really good game that is only a few drafts away from greatness.

There is plenty to forgive Primordia for, but if you can get past the issues and lose yourself in the game there’s a rich and emotional story waiting for you. I’m a bit of a robot nut myself and despite all of my nitpicks about the game I found myself deeply affected by the ending. There’s a lot of reasons to fight Horatio’s war and Primordia does a great job of considering all of them even if it trips a few times on the way there. If you thoroughly enjoyed games like Beneath A Steel Sky or Full Throttle, I can guarantee that you’ll find plenty to like about Primordia.

Introduction to point and click
Remember when this released. Thought it seemed cool but never played it as it being a point and click discouraged me. During a work related quarantine, stuck alone in a hotel room january 2021 i finally played it through! 5/5, great introduction to the genre. Difficult but rewarding and in every sense a gem.

One of the all time great games

Beautiful game!
The biggest selling point for me were characters and their interaction with one another. I love the metaphor and religious aspect of this game (thought provoking) Needless to say, voice acting/music/gameplay (all production) are on a great level. Admittedly some puzzles I wasn't able to solve on my own due to a bit of inconsistency of interaction, rather than puzzle difficulty itself. There are multiple endings witch is great for any game of this genre and I believe there are also multiple solutions to puzzles because some peaces 'clues' that I got were never used. Defiantly will revisit this game after some time. I recommend to not sleep on this gem, even at $10 it's extremely underpriced. Thank you devs and team for working on this great project <3

A worthy, if uneven experience
I have become a bit of a fan of Wadjet Eye's. I've played three of their point n clicks and I've really enjoyed all of them. Their work is always well-thought-out, beautiful and ever-evolving. Primordia goes all the way back to 2012, so it's a bit rough around the edges. Its biggest strengths, like all Wadjet Eye games, are the presentation and the story. Primordia features one of the coolest post-apocalyptic sci-fi frameworks, dressed very nicely in a lot of orange-brown rusted environments and analog technology that is immediately recognizable to everyone. As usual, it's a small, personal story with world-scale implications. The world-building is great and it touches on philosophical concepts of progress, evolution, religion and existentialism without ever becoming intrusive. The characters are likeable and their back-and-forth makes dialogue a joy to listen to. Where Primordia falters is the gameplay; to say it's "a little bit obtuse" would be an understatement. It's standard point-n-click and there is no moon logic, but it's their first game I had to look up a walkthrough *multiple* times. The problem is that the puzzles aren't hard, the game is just terrible at communicating them. There's the occasional pixel-hunting, there are solutions that appear after certain moments, leaving you thinking you've already explored the available options and other small annoyances that lead to "I ALREADY KNEW THAT" moments. The game does feature a couple of actually clever puzzles, but a lot of the time the way it's structured makes it turn into a slog of walking back and forth looking for solutions and things to interact with. Having said all that, I can't be too critical, because their later games have consistently improved upon these problems. The experience is never terminally frustrating and its story is absolutely worth experiencing. Highly recommended, despite its flaws.
