It is a critique of modern consumerism

POSTAL 2 is a very good game that tackles some important topics in a unique way. You can play it without thinking about the big picture and kill everything in your way if that is what you like but if you take your time and observe some things you will see similarities with the movie Falling Down. Runs well but it crashes in some crazy fights where there are lot of missiles and fires so quicksave often.

That shit's addicting!

I didn't know anything about this game until I saw Civvie 11's videos on Youtube. But this game is a time capsule of early 00's juvenile edgy humor. It's not a deep or thought provoking story. The graphics certainly aren't pretty. But smoking a crack pipe and going on a scythe rampage after stealing a police uniform is worth hours of fun.

Outrageous, but not very interesting

In a way this game is the epitome of the kind of freedom a video game can offer, because it plops you into mundane, everyday situations and then lets you solve them with extreme and absurd violence. And it is fun to do that, but the game doesn't offer a lot of depth and I lost interest in it after less than two hours. The other big aspect, the game's humour, is... there, it's a very 2000s, extremely usamerican, post-9/11 kind of humour that's offensive in the most toothless, inoffensive way. It's hard to describe but it didn't help to keep me interested. All in all, Postal 2 is exactly what you'd expect it to be but ends up losing its luster quickly.
