The real successor to RCT series

After keeping track of the game for years, finally got it, on GOG of course, as that is the only real way to own it vs long time rental on other platforms. And boy, it delivers! Absolutely amazing and with the perspective camera mod and night mode its just enchanting, made me actually want to visit an amusement park in real life :) Not only scratched the RCT itch but actually satisfied it, and that is something. Just need quick copy paste functionality and it will be perfect ;) As for mods, game has mod.io manager integrated, lots of mods there. Steam ones are super easy to download, just look on Github for WorkshopDL app. And you don't have to worry about author updating something and breaking your save mid game, or worse, removing an asset.

Love it so much, I bought it again!

This game hits all the right notes and is a wonderful spiritual successor to Rollercoaster Tycoon 1 and 2. The graphics are simple and pleasing, the UI is useful and removed a lot of the 'clunk' that you feel when going back to the older games (back in the day you didn't really notice.) The customization is also incredible. I was a kickstarter backer and owned the game since release on Steam. I bought it again through GOG just because I love the game so much and wanted my DRM free copy. Blueprint support from mod.io is a nice addition for enabling cross platform support.

Roller coaster tycoon 1 and 2 + way more

Great game. Same vibe as the old games, plus lots of improvements and simulation fun. Campaign is great for someone like me who has a problem playing sandbox games alone with no direction. Waiting for the full release was worth it. My only regret is the difficulty of getting mods for the GOG version.

Fan of the original RCT series? Get it!

I grew up playing RCT and parkitect has taken that series to the next level! I've been a very early backer of Parkitect and am constantly wowed by the teams updates. It has been a pleasure to watch this game grow and evolve and it has honestly gone beyond what I had ever expected. Into themeparks? Simulation? Management? Building Rollercoasters and Rides? Seriously stop reading the reviews and get it already.

Greatest theme park sim

If like me you thought Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 was the peak of them park sims (and that RCT3 was an abomination) then this is absolutely the game for you. It's everything you would want from a modern rendition of the genre. Updated in all the right places whilst retaining the simplicity of the classics. As others have said though, if you have the choice buy it from Steam. There's an ok amount of content in the game, and the DLCs add some additional scenarios too, but without access to Steam workshop there isn't a lot to do once you've gold medalled all the scenarios. That's a shame because you won't want to stop playing.
