Congratulations. The October labor lottery is complete. Your name was pulled.
For immediate placement, report to the The Ministry of Admission at Grestin Border Checkpoint. An apartment will be provided for you and your family in East Grestin. Expect a Class-8 dwelling. Glory to Arstotzka.
The communist state of Arstotzka has just ended a 6-year war with neighboring Kolechia and reclaimed its rightful half of the border town, Grestin. Your job as immigration inspector is to control the flow of people entering the Arstotzkan side of Grestin from Kolechia. Among the throngs of immigrants and visitors looking for work are hidden smugglers, spies, and terrorists. Using only the documents provided by travelers and the Ministry of Admission's primitive inspect, search, and fingerprint systems you must decide who can enter Arstotzka and who will be turned away or arrested.
Immerse yourself in a fictional world of spies, criminals, terrorists, secret societies, government agents and more.
Unique document-inspection gameplay with escalating challenges.
Decide the fate of countless hopeful immigrants while balancing your income and family needs.
...too short, game play is addictive, atmosphere is good. But on second run thru you see that every day is set up pretty similar. Would be better if there was greater scope of consequences of actions long term, medium term and short. Game could be a little longer, but at this price it is very much value for money, I'd still have paid more for a longer version.
But I'm only saying that as I want to play more.....not a bad advertisement for a game that.
Let me start with my biggest problem, the price. If I think about how much effort could have been to make this game, and how much it costs I conclude that it is sickly overpriced. Better games with better graphics with much more effort cost less than this. I recommend not buying it unless it is at least 90% percent discounted.
I found this in a deal and checked out the ratings. There are some pretty bad reviews, but still a game ranking this high cannot be that bad. So, I had to check. And well, it sure requires a certain mindset but works to some level.
The gameplay is basically a very simple “spot the difference”. Which can get dull pretty fast. The game tries to spice up things by adding and removing things you need to check. Sometimes it helps but more often not. And after an hour of gameplay or so I found myself only being dragged through the game by the narrative. And if you do not enjoy the story about the miserable life of a border control clerk of an authoritarian country you will not like this game.
