Memories are sweet
I do remember playing this years ago, infact I think it was my old man that got this orignally and just thought that it looked cool. Sat and played one night and was hooked 10 / 10 would blitzkreig again and again taking europe by storm.

Great Game But Tech Problems
I remember playing this on my old PC 10 years ago. I found it extremely enjoyable - everything from the emphasis on leaders, the interesting scenarios and the 3d graphics. So I decided to purchase it again but, unfortunately, the game does not run well on my relatively new PC. I get mouse lag (I don't have a gaming system but the specs are pretty good) and I find the 3d graphics are not sharp on my 23 inch monitor. GOG was nice enough to give me store credit for the game, which I will use to buy PG2 - another great Panzer General game which I owned eons ago.
