Panzer General 2
One of my favorite strategy games. I have played it on and off for years. It has the right amount of balance of strategy, without being bogged down in having to build buildings, do research and the like. Just combat strategy which is what I like.

The best turn based strategy game there
IMHO for turn based games this one is the king. The AI is excellent. The scenereos are challenging as are the campaigns. For me, this is one sets the bar for all the others.
