Welcome home, pardner! We've been waiting for you here in the town of Sanctuary. Take your boots off and sit a spell. Ex-Marshal James Anderson lived a quiet life with his wife and daughter. One black day that life was shattered by a fancy-dressed, greed driven land baron intent on plowing down his farm to make way for the railroad. Now Anderson's driven by revenge, which he'll exact in a spray of gunfire.
Get ready for the good, the bad, and the even worse. As Marshall James Anderson, you'll face a horde of ornery, gun-slinging outlaws. You'll shoot your way through a twisted plot of greed and revenge. You'll arm yourself with firearms, as well as your wits. So go ahead, and make your day.
Highly stylized characters with distinct personalities and weapons.
Gameplay involving puzzle solving to tease the mind as well as the trigger finger.
Combines first-person Gun Slinging Action and Wild West Adventure in one game.

This is one of the first games I remember playing! Yeah, it's old, but it is special. The story is simply amazing and the little girl is so strong! She was so inspiring to kid me. I used to get goosebumps everytime I fired up the game and saw the doctor in the intro cinema (I think he was called that. The scary old guy with a billion teeth).
Well...I was suprised what playability has this game today. The difficulty is much harder than other FPSs today and that's what I like! A challenge!
Atmosphere of the Wild West, nice cutscenes and perfect level design. And graphics? Come on! Surely it's not perfect in 2019, but it's still nice...
The first 3 levels of Outlaws are the best any FPS can ever achieve.
First, an introduction level, some farmhouse,s and barns. Simple, yet very effective. The level design is superb.
The second level is an open city full of houses you can explore. No restrictions, no guidance. The real western feeling.
The third one is a train level, and oh, man, it's maybe the best train level ever produced in an FPS game!
The later levels are great too (except the sawmill, that strange abomination...) and the last level is simply amazing! The story is minimal, yes, but super-effective and satisfying to play through.
The shooting is so-so (in bad and ugly modes also pretty hardcore too) but the shooting was pretty harsh and inaccurate in the real wild west too, so it gives a specific charm to the game.
THE MUSIC IS AMAZING!!! One of the best soundtracks of all time! (just the soundtrack alone worth the game price!) It's stunning, uplifting, dramatic, just... perfect, in pair with the great voiceover. (Tony Plana is Marshall, you maybe know him from Grim Fandango).
But maybe the most important thing: This game is just full of heart and soul. And no, it's not just nostalgia speaking. I just completed the game (I don't know, maybe 4 or 5 time in my life) and it was just as great as when I was a child. Yeah, it could be a little ugly here and there, but the artstyle is so great, that it just works anyway as a whole.
“Cowards die many times before their deaths;
The valiant never taste of death but once."
I thanks GOG for offering of Outlaws, it's my favourite game from my childhood. I have started with Outlaws 20 years ago and after that time I find it on GOG :-) I was very happy, I played that game again and I finish it :-)
I'm making on let's play in Czech language on my youtube channel

they disabled backspace on the menu, preventing players from deleting the pre-set name and the pre-set number of kills to win, which is 0. that prevents multiplayer from having a set goal and the player name must always include the name of the pc.
