Don't like platformers
Love this game. Soundtrack, ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS graphic design. Going through it at hard level, very challenging

Too difficult to be enjoyable.
*sigh* I really, really wanted to like this game. The graphics and art design are stunning, the story is compelling without being too overwrought, and the gameplay, at least for the first third, was terrific. The problem is, the difficulty ramps up *hard* about a third of the way in. It goes from 'challenging but fun' to 'requires long strings of absolutely pixel-perfect timing' over the course of twenty minutes or so. Pretty soon, I'd had enough. The game stopped being fun, and turned into an incredibly frustrating grind. Note that most of the games' challenges are maneuver-based, so cranking the difficulty setting down doesn't have any real effect. Two stars is harsh, but fair. Ori and the Blind Forest really failed the most important test - is it fun to play? If you're a hardcore platformer enthusiast with hummingbird-like reflexes, you'll probably dig it a lot more than I did.

One of the best platformers I had played
One of the best platformers I had played in my life. Amazing story, good quality graphic and engine, and level designs. From cones, this game practically require xbox gamepad, and we have a few stressful running from Kuro (main boss) or other things. I hate these parts of the game because I don't like Rayman platformers style...

Beautiful, with some issues
After 5 hours of playing I can say that this is a good game. Not great, just good. Splendid atmosphere, settings and graphic. Cute disneyish protagonist (like a white biped Toothless). The story... meh... in the first minutes it seems the devs dedicated a lot of efforts to create a moving story that can touch your heart and then, well, in the next 4 hours there is nothing. It simply get forgotten, and the brief moments of dialogues are completely forgettable. Reading some reviews it seems that I've not stumbled yet in the pikes of difficulty. For now: yes, there are many parts of trial and error, but I'm finding this moments not too much frustrating in comparison of similar games like Hollow Knights or even Rayman Legends. I think it's a part of all the good modern platform. Huge pro: the possibility to save more or less wherever you are. So the trial and error issues are lighter than they would be if saves were in given places. Some clunky controls: ie - is not clear why our little white biped toothless sometimes makes normal jumps from a wall to another and sometimes makes these idiotic 5yo like jumps. Until here, no big issues with combat. Even too easy. 4 stars on trust. For the perfect metroidvania platform/action game of all times go for Hollow Knight.
