OpenTTD

I played this forever back on the Amiga 500, and have replayed it many times more in the last 20 years through Open TTD. Simply put, if you haven't played this and love Railroad Tycoon or any other transport sim, just play it, it's free, you have nothing to lose!

There ist no game I spent more time since the 90ies as for (O)TT(D). It's simply compelling despite of the graphics. You have to make this experience.

I remember playing it 15-20 years ago. Never ever since i have played such a flawless and great Tycoon game...

While the other guys were playing after-school sports, I was in our computer lab, working out how to get lumber from plantation to coal mine as quickly as possible. I absolutely loved this game, and many of the clones it inspired. To this day "Tycoon" games owe their principles to this game. I find it hard to fault this game, both in the context which it started and as a nostalgic and still-fun game.

this game consumes my soul once every 2 weeks and I lose like 2 whole days to it I love it
