《旧世界》专注于上古和古典时代的文明。玩家文明有7个，分别是巴比伦、波斯、亚述、埃及、希腊、罗马和迦太基。游戏世界中的非玩家部落有高卢人、努米底亚人、斯基泰人、汪达尔人和丹麦日耳曼人。主创团队花了很多功夫研究这些文明的历史和神话传说，在游戏中编写了超过3000个基于史实或传说的事件。
在《旧世界》中，玩家控制一个统治者家族。统治者会生老病死，而王朝代代相传。所以统治者需要结婚、培养继承人、管理家族事务。

Good game
For me its a good mix of Civ and Crusader Kings. Combat is definately better than Civ6. Performance....seems to need some work. Achievements are broken, been getting the same ones for the last month or so.

Excellent Civilizaton Competitor...
...but since this is not a normal age, I must let you know I bought this game six full months ahead of the Trump Tariffs and I later learned that the studio is based in an unashamed MAGA state. I know recommend boycott the games which you did not already buy.
