Unplayable
Game loads, gets stuck on a mega flashy screen guaranteed to give anyone an epiletic fit. If you alt tab and tab back in there is no way of doing anything on the menu screen. My eyes still hurt, and I dont owe this game to google whats going on.

I love this game
Nox is the Diablo-like that is not a Diablo-clone that few remember and more should play.

No.2 single-player hack-and-slash game
There are only two good hack and slash games. Diablo 1 and this. I have played: Diablo 2 and 3 Dungeon Siege, Sacred (First half is good) Grim Dawn, Torchlight 2 Path of Exile, Dink Smallwood (was good when there was nothing to match diablo), Darkstone, Lionheart: Legacy of the Crusader - first half was good (was it kind of like diablo? I am a bit unsure now) if you count Divine Divinity as a game of this type, then that one you can count as good too.

Tedious
There are some good ideas in Nox, let's start with that. It has some actual physics puzzles and clever spell ideas, which puts it ahead of its time, and it handles the resource management of the wizard in an alright fashion. But, while not an especially long game, it managed to wildly overstay its welcome, especially with the last few levels which were absolute tedium where every inch of progress required dragging yourself across interminably long levels, saving and reloading again and again where the game mistakes arbitrary length and instant death for "difficulty." Paired with encumbrance mechanics and a lack of merchants, durability mechanics and expensive repair bills, I ended the game in tattered rags, and by the time I was done, I was happy to toss the game in the bin, never to play again. It feels like a master class in why ARPGs had to change. I think most of the positive reviews here are nostalgia. It's a terrible experience, with no real sense of progress, no real sense of exploration, and no real sense of achievement when you finish the game. Give it a miss.
