love this game
One of the best rpgs imo and ye, hack&slash is included as well. Magic! I also really love the graphics.

An excellent action/RPG hybrid with very unique gameplay. Your name is Jack Mower, a 20th century dude who just happened to be sucked into the world of Nox via his TV set. The world is in danger and you have to save it! But before you embark on your epic journey you must choose your path: warrior, wizard, or conjurer.
Choose the path of a warrior, and you will be able to equip and use all manner of swords, battle-axes, war hammers, and chakrams - though you’ll leave the magical mumbo-jumbo up to the Conjurer and Wizard classes. An enchanted weapon is the closest a Warrior gets to magic but that’s OK, because magic is for sissies.
As a Wizard you will explore the mystical art of spell casting, ranging from enemy-confounding illusions to devastating displays of metaphysical force. You’ll also learn to set magical traps containing deadly spell combinations to thwart the unsuspecting foe. Although you’ll have to renounce the use of ungainly swords and armor in the name of your art, you will still be able to wield a staff as a last-ditch physical defense.
If you choose a Conjurer you will be able to magically charm and summon creatures to do your bidding. You can even create a magical creature called a bomber which can wreak sorcerous havoc on your enemies. You’ll also get plenty of experience wielding staves and bows to fend off the few enemies who manage to slip past your minions.

So i never played this game before. Now it is the year 2013, i turn on the game and a fell instantly in love with the graphics. I just love the old isometric 2d graphic style with love in every detail in style of baldurs gate 2. The gameplay mechanics are like nothing you have met before. This game is not a diablo clone! Nox has got some nifty physics. Great music. Funny story and puzzles that summon a smile on your face. The downside ist that there are not many dialogs or character customization. The main emphasis of this game lies in the fun combat, atmosphere and puzzles. So If you can live with it then thee good sir are going to love this.

Nostalgia at it's finest.
I haven't seen this game since I was a kid, and I'm rather surprised how well done this game is. I thought it would be pretty awful after all these years, but it definitely is keeping me entertained. I would highly recommend this game for anyone who enjoys hack & slash type games.

Still beautiful and challenging
Great artdesign makes a vivid and wonderful looking world. Awesome competetive multiplayer mechanics makes it even better than Diablo 2 for me. Balanced and every spell or skill is usefull. Solo has three different stories, one for each class. Enemies challenge you not in quantity but quality. It´s sometimes very tactical. Just play it!

NOSTALGIA
Absolutely brilliant game, one of the first RPGs I got my hands on as a kid. Brilliant 'hack and slash' feel, with a decent enough lore to keep you hooked. The gameplay, whether it be as a Wizard, Warrior or Conjurer, is absolutely brilliant. The variety in armour sets and skill sets for each character is superb. PERFECT
