Controls are... questionable

This could be a great game, but the devs thought it would be cool if you had to hold the controllers trigger a tiny little bit for no thrust. Yes, with no input, the ship goes full thrust all the time. Why? No clue. So its either giving me a cramp never being able to fully relax my digit or not being in control of my movements. Neither is fun. Also yes: I did calibrate my controller. There is no in-game dead zone adjustment. I liked Asteroids. This could have been so good.

Asteroids on steroids

It starts peacefull, like the old classic, a ship and some asteroids to shoot down. Soon, however, it will turn into total chaos with projectiles flying everywhere, enemies arriving from ever side, and in addition, a boss will show up. Nova Drift is a great game, both for the hours long sessions when trying to beat your previous topscore, or just half an hour of destructive mayhem. Its a game with nice progression, and even after unlocking everything, it can still be great experience where sometimes all you are left with are the remains of your ship, but no clue as to what destroyed you, because there is so much that could.

Asteroid in the 21st Century

This is an amazing game with endless playability. If you liked the game asteroid back in the 80s but wanted something more up-to-date, then this game is for you. The Rogue-Lite aspect provides the sense of progression while you learn the game. Once you beat the boss, there are difficulty modifiers, a draft choice and endless mode to provide infinite replayability - the endgame is infinite. The looks is simple but fun. Action is fast-paced but not overly punishing (this changes the farther you get into endless w/modifiers). Sounds and music set the ambiance perfectly without being a distraction. For those who are just starting to play, I highly suggest jumping in and learning as you go. But if you have questions or have reached endless mode, check the links below as they will greatly add to your enjoyment. P.S. If you are looking for a twin-stick shooter only, look elsewhere, as there is a 'thrust' button. Hours of Fun

Well simple in basic control the progression of unlocking new things that change your style of play paces the game well. Worth a try if you ever found yourself enjoying the classic game of asteriods or other early space shooters. This game does pack alot more to explore and the somewhat randome nature of upgrades keeps things fresh.
