All in all, it has to be said that Northgard is an extremely promising premise. It has a good storyline with challenging campaigns. While there are some minor hiccups here and there, overall, it's an awesome addition to the RTS genre.

Fun Little RTS
Bought this on sale just on a whim, and I've really enjoyed it. I'm a huge fan of Warcraft 3, Starcraft and the several of the Warhammer 40K series, and this one has its on special place in my heart. In a lot of ways the resource management is much more complicated than the others, which is a nice change for me. The single player story mode is fun and has various challenges to keep it interesting. Looking forward to multiplayer, but I'm not seeing a LAN option. I hope the bandwidth requirements are not too high as I'm limited by a Dumb Slow Line (DSL). I haven't checked out any of the other DLC yet, but might if multiplayer goes well. Oddly enough, it doesn't seem to have a lot in the way of graphics configuration. I noticed that there was no option to set my default resolution if I wanted to back it down. This seemed odd to me. The graphic style is okay, but is a little more cartoon-ish than I'm used to, but it is good. I've gotten spoiled by the Divinity Original Sin series.

Linux Multiplayer currently unavailable
The multiplayer element currently requires GOG Galaxy to be running to allow you to even select multiplayer.. I'm a Linux user, and there's no GOG Galaxy build for Linux. This means if you are a Linux user, and want multiplayer, this is a no-go. I haven't got around to playing much of the single player yet and this is my preferred play method (I'm not trying to review bomb) . But I felt the need to leave a review here to inform others. I also hope Shiro Games consider removing this restriction if at all possible, as it doesn't really meld with the "No DRM" ethos of GOG, either.

Played it On Mobile, Played it Here...
Albeit the mobile version does lack a few things, but hear me out... It made me want to then get this game on PC, and the freaking content doesn't disappoint! As if I had any doubts about it. Overall, pfff.... have sunk maybe 400 hours in the game, haahhahh! But, I'd recommend getting it on sale, as it can still cost a hefty penny if you're not ready to spend on the whole thing.
