At the centre of the galaxy lies an irresistible pulse which draws you on a journey towards it to learn the true nature of the cosmos. Find your own destiny
Your voyage through No Man's Sky is up to you. Will you be a fighter, preying on the weak and taking their riches, or taking out pirates for their bounties? Power is yours if you upgrade your ship for speed and weaponry.
Or a trader? Find rich resources on forgotten worlds and exploit them for the highest prices. Invest in more cargo space and you'll reap huge rewards.
Or perhaps an explorer? Go beyond the known frontier and discover places and things that no one has ever seen before. Upgrade your engines to jump ever farther, and strengthen your suit for survival in toxic environments that would kill the unwary.
Share your journey
The galaxy is a living, breathing place. Trade convoys travel between stars, factions vie for territory, pirates hunt the unwary, and the police are ever watching. Every other player lives in the same galaxy, and you can choose to share your discoveries with them on a map that spans known space. My ADHD is happy
This game is for people who can make their own fun but also have the chance to do sub-missions. Exploring is fun and the community is very supportive. I you want to scratch your exploring itch, try this game.

The thing of Total Freedom
Logged HUNDREDS of hours. Set up trade routes, built bases and homesteads all over. I think I even attempted to colonize an entire system, name everything, make monuments and homes - the whole nine. When I realized that I've never actually finished the main storyline. Thing with gamers is they use words like "borderless sandbox" and "total freedom" but misapplied to games that give you a lot of things to do, but steer you a lot. This - this is total freedom. There's nothing you have to do, beyond getting off the first planet. After that - do what you want. Dont think about completion or money - just give in to it. Take pictures, travel a lot. At the end of it all, its more a study in the tedium of infinity with no direct influence from anywhere - a kind reminder that we may actually need each other - in order to define existence as more than drifting through space. I love it. I will never not love it.

Amazing
From less than humble begginings to the absolute behemouth it has become today is nothing short of amazing with constant updates adding free content. Highly recommend No Man's Sky.

Make your own fun!
This game has managed to hold my attention for over a hundred hours, and likely will for many more. While it may not have the gameplay depth or freedom of customization of some other space RPGs, the mystery of exploration and constant quality updates will keep me coming back for a long time.
