Great Experience
I had no issues from the very release of the game, everything ran fine without issues, except maybe 1-2 crashed before the first patch. I run a constant 30-40 FPS, and that is enough for me. My rig is a Intel Q6666 2,4 Quadcore, GTX 770 TI 4GB with 8 GB System RAM. I run it from an SSD on Win 10. I can not corroborate the negative experience many other users have performance wise. While the game has some shortcomings in regards to repetitiveness it is something I do not mind. The game is indeed a "Chill" experience. It is not a realistic Universe, spaceship or a survival simulator. it is a 60s Sci Fi cover come to life, and you are along for the journey. Yes, certain aspects repeat. In the sense that at some point you can tell a lot about a planet just by flying through the atmosphere. Is it toxic or cold or radioactive? What race inhabits it? What buildings make up this encampment? This is a plus for me because you as a player learn the universe you inhabit. The worlds are still often surprising, and especially on rare end game systems there is often incredibly beautiful vistas. If there is one thing I would critizise is the lack of varied upgrades for your equipment. After the 15 hours mark or so I had every blueprint there is. After 30 hours I completed the Atlas questline and feel I got my moneys worth. I will wait a bit to pick it up again to continue my journey to the center of the galaxy. It is at least a marvelous technical experience.
