CD key DRM needed to play on LAN
I wanted to play the game with my partner using LAN but a CD key is needed which means a second copy of the game is needed.

I bought this game 3 times.
For all its faults, NWN is unique: one of the very first games with an easy to use toolset, a deep roleplaying experience and Persistent World Multiplayer in role-playing. This re-release makes it run on modern systems, and it features several, with more coming, engine upgrades, and more modding properties. More story content will come in the future. Recommended if you like RPGs a bit old school with lots of text to read and D&D combat.

Its still in beta, but is decent enough.
The new enhanced Edition is nowhere close to being finished, its currently in BETA but what is in already is decent enough. Everyone giving it a bad rating yet its still in Beta. As of right now beamdog had alot of fixes done to the gui, added the unofficial neverwinter patch to its core functions which fixed a slew of spell issues, the master server is back online, you can now auto load haks when joining servers (no more need to manually insert large gigabytes of haks by hand), theirs plans for new additional premium modules (if you own the previous old premium modules you can still get them for free but yes you will have to repurchase them if you hadn't before), there are plans for more gui updates and i cant really quite recall what all they plan on doing in the future but it looks promising. In short: if youre unsure just wait until enhanced Edition goes on sale (like right now) or wait until its out of BETA and then decide. everyone wants to rant on it being just a carbon copy when its still in beta. judge it after its finished.

It does not work with the best servers
While they didn't change the game play or graphics, this "update" breaks the compatibility with the most advanced NWN1 servers: Sinfar, Amia, Higherground PoA, Avlis, The Three Town, Neversummer and many others including big spanish and russian servers. Please put back NWN Diamond @GoG
