Great Game
Still a fantastic game with anything someone would want. There is custom worlds and designer created worlds. This game never gets old and I have played it for many years.

$20 for a patch
As an owner of NWN Diamonds, it is appalling that GOG is charging for a patch. Did I miss something where they got bought out by EA?

This is a review based on NWN itself
Great classic RPG that mimics the 3e rules fairly well and it's great fun with friends. The module system allows for limitless possibilities and there are some good ones out there Though I will say the vanilla story isn't that great . I'm also not a fan of how henchmen work. You can only take 1 which severely limits your party's capabilities which is only alleviated by playing with others. While playing with other people is more true to the table top, this imo, weakens the game for solo players because you're going to be missing a key party member (like I'm missing a thief/rogue on my main game). Otherwise, it's a great game to experience with friends, just don't expect the main story to be the best

A fantastic revival
First of all, I need to be honest about being on the online part of NWN. If you are searching for a single player NWN experience, I guess this review might be not for you. As for the multiplayer part, you can barely imagine what NWN EE actually means for existing and upcoming persistent worlds. Beside reviving the NWN developer community, EE opens up so many opportunities for the online worlds to be enhanced that no matter wich EE server you are going to choose, it will benefit greatly from NWN EE. Alone the fact that you can select a server from the game directly and getting all necessary files downloaded instead of wondering for hours on community website in search of proper files is a game changer. And this is but one aspect of EE. I have no time to review all of it, so you need to take my word for it :). If you would like to play NWN online - I assure you, this game brought a real renaissance to the legendary game. Great job, Beamdog.
