Wait until you get the vampire glove

The game changes drastically somewhere in the middle when you get the vampire glove and vampire weapons. It has interesting combo system similar to Dark Messiah of Might and Magic and Wolfenstein 2009 atmosphere. If you collect all the secret artifacts during walkthrough, you'll get additional melee combo powers. At the end of the game you'll get a new glove ability - chains, like from the Hellraiser movie that can rip your enemies apart.. and you can continue the game with all the unlocked abilities in Game+. There are also challenge stages in the game that are quite fun, especially with the unlocked artifact abilities.

Garbage FPS that wastes it's potential.

My first impression of this game was "What a novel concept! How come this series isn't more known?" Then I played the game and found out why. This game is like a helicopter parent. It holds your hand for everything it doesn't need to and then it ignores you when you really need it to give you a clue. Ugly and poorly designed levels that feel like they're on rails up until you need to retrieve something important and then suddenly you have no clue where to look. Had to reinstall the game because it randomly decided it didn't know how to change weapons on command. Clunky as hell combat controls that are difficult to tell if you're really doing any damage to some enemies. Bosses with vague and unrepresented weaknesses that baffle the player. This game wastes a brilliant premise, WW1 setting with Lovecraftian horror elements and completely wizzes everything down it's leg within the first 2 levels. Just an awful, awful experience. Massive letdown. I hear the sequel is better.

For the price it's fine I guess

Not sure what I was expecting for $1. But man, is this a massive mixed bag, the gameplay is clunky, glitchy, almost a chore to navigate through. Story is absolutely nonsensical, and just laughable at how bad it all is, especially the voice acting. The protaginist has this totally not expected southern accent that makes some interaction somewhat funny. I can't tell if this game is trying to be serious or comedic. I feel that it's so bad that its good. The developers were going for an interesting setting/concept: WW1 era, rising demon lords, hellish creatures. The graphics are surprising good, gunplay can be really fun with awesome guns, double wielding . If you can stomach through the rough edged gameplay and forget that there's a story you can get a good couple of hours of the game. Definitely get the game when it's on discount.

Indescribable

This game is wonky and hysterical. The thought process that went into this is beyond anyone's comprehension. The plot is absurd, the voices are off and don't match the epic music in the background, the characters make no sense, the controls tab in the options menu lags for no reason, there is debris all over the place with collision planes that seem very unintuitive, the boss fights are often easier than the levels. It's like a bunch of stuff thrown together nonsensically. But on the other hand, the art is great and successfully conveys the intended doom and gloom; I love every corridor of the game. The enemy AI is decent and fun to combat, and the gameplay a mix of Red Orchestra and Doom, with cover mechanics, a wide array of weapons, and what I think is a good mix of both fast-paced and slow-paced FPS. Overall, it's an original, if weird, game, and in my opinion much better than the predictable AAA crap that the industry makes these days.

Polish Wolfenstein

Necrovision is a pretty good game with great polish voice acting(Tomasz Kot, Jarosław Boberek, etc) and average campaign. You can actually have fun with it if you like weird stuff like zombies in WW1, or magic hands. But it's not a game for everyone. Painkiller fans will get satisfied with this game.
