The game is fine in theory. It is cute, you can't help but cheer for your pet as it goes along, and it is interesting to see your pet go on an adventure and evolve, fight and participate in mini games.
But the game is super repetitive, your pet generates an annoying amount of poop (why so much poop?!), and if you get distracted for a while running the game on background your pet just dies on you. It just becomes a chore to manage.
The game seems to be a bit confused about what it wants to be - on one hand it looks like it wants you to take a hands-off approach, but on the other hand you need to be vigilant otherwise your pet croaks.
To me the game is just a bit disappointing. It looks very nice and it is enjoyable for a while, but there are many questionable decisions and there is not enough game here to justify the price tag.
