My Brother Rabbit is a great little hidden object adventure that tells an emotional story with style and sensitivity. Its world is a pleasure to explore and there is a nice balance between static screen exploration and logic puzzles. It is clear that Artifex Mundi are experts in their field, and this would be the perfect introduction to the genre or gaming more generally. It would certainly work to counteract the public perception that gaming is all guns and swearing teenagers. While clearly a simple game, it deserves to be played by more than the usual genre fans. It doesn't outstay its welcome, its full of lovely touches and is a great example of a nice game. Here's hoping that, like the creature in its title, My Brother Rabbit will multiply and more such heartwarming titles will hop onto the scene.

No bugs, just a bunny

Spoiler-free: Simple idea. Caring for a sibling who is too young to understand her unfortunate sickness. A brother uses a rabbit to solve a series of puzzles that loosely symbolize his sister's journey toward healing. We are given no names, no narration, and no dialogue. The only clues are cut-scene art that take place outside the world of the game and supposedly in the real world. This is a good choice. It makes for a lighter experience, focused on quiet point-and-click progress through puzzles that do not always make sense but are well-paced. My experience was 3 star, but the effort of a small indie team deserves 5. So I choose the middle ground and gave them four. I recommend it because of the thought behind it - to walk alongside kids who develop serious illnesses.

Heart-warming story super cute and fun

This is the first "Hidden Object-Puzzle-Game" I've played. The characters are adorable and the story is based on a dramatic background. Graphic is beatiful, so is music and soundeffects. All puzzles are solvable without try and error (there are hints for the ones where you might think that it is a try and error puzzle). Am must-have!

Great Interface ! Narrative success.

Thank you ! You launch a game, 30sec light animated cinematic and you are in the story. Simple but compelling. And you instantly play, that what I expect from a modern game ! It is a point and click, with hidden object but not as static as too often. Some puzzles, classic not too difficult with a progressive curve so far well balanced. The minimalist interface is awesome. Left click : you pick or activate, sometimes an object stuck you can use in the screen, right click to cancel. You get icons of the series of objects you are looking for and where to use when done, and when you have some to find in the screen you are in the icons are lit. I have done 4 or 5 chapters so far and the game is just perfect. Clever, story is ok, game atmosphere is fine. The art direction is a bit strange, normally not my type but I got into it. The contrast between the back story and the childish gameplay atmosphere that relates to it works like a charm. Top ! 4.8
