Five hundred years ago, an ancient and well respected Shaolin fighting tournament, held every 50 years, was corrupted by an evil and elderly sorcerer by the name of Shang Tsung. Shang was accompanied by Prince Goro, a warrior of the Shokan race (a four-armed half-human / half-dragon). Knowing that if ten tournaments in a row were won by the Outworld champion, the Earth Realm would be conquered by evil and fall into darkness, Shang entered Goro in the tournament and had him defeat the great Kung Lao. Goro has been reigning supreme as the undefeated fighting champion for five hundred years now. As the last tournament required draws near, Raiden, Thunder God and protector of the Earth Realm, enacts a plan to tip the scales in the humans' favor, Seven fighters step into the arena on Shang Tsung's mysterious island: Shaolin warrior Liu Kang, Special Forces operative Sonya Blade, the mercenary thug Kano, fame-seeking actor Johnny Cage, the ice-wielding Lin Kuei warrior Sub-Zero and his undead adversary Scorpion, and Raiden himself.
Re-live this arcade classic with the first 3 instalments of the Mortal Kombat franchise. Power through on-on-one combat with special multi-button attacks and moves unique to each character, including the famous fatality. In this bundle die-hard Mortal Kombat fans can move on to the third instalment which introduces network play, where they can challenge other die-hard friends to see who is truly the king of kombat. Other features include dial-a-combo attacks, a run button to speed up battles, and vs codes, which unlock new powers and abilities once both players enter a code sequence in pre-match-up screens.

Poor execution
The issues with these games is they're DOS versions which are incompatible with today's hardware and controllers. Needing to install an 3rd party app to deal compatibility issues is very inconvient. These games should already have all those issues ironed out. As a result, the it's difficult to configure the games to a playable state, as a result the games are difficult to play.

Two Classics and one Okay-ish game.
I'm not a fan of MK3, even if the DOS port plays very well. Okay, that's out of the way, not onto what makes this bundle really sizzle. You get an excellent port of MK2, the Midi music ain't the best, but with some sound font trickery, you'll be fine. Bigger, richer sprites and smoother gameplay than any other home port! Sorry SNES! Then you get the big enchilada, a port of MK1 that is as perfect as you're going to get, without emulation! It looks and sounds every bit as good as the arcade game. Especially thanks to the arcade game's soundtrack making it onto the game as CD audio tracks.

Completely Broken
All the reviews are from 2015, i suspect these are either fake or somewhere between 2015 and now the game has been broken. MK1 loads but zero controls work accept to go into the settings, which their are 4 options to choose from and only 1 of those options work. Other than that you cant get the game to start. MK2 was the same issue but worse, couldnt even get to a settings screen. This was on a 2020 mild gaming pc with 16gb ram and a GTX 1650 OC video card, I7 processor. All my games play great, this one the controls will not work. Was super excited to play this game, now i have to wait up to 30 days for a refund. Take my money within minutes, but up to 30 days to receive a refund? wont be buying anything from this website again.
