Moonlighter

Was just about to go ahead and buy this amazing game, but there's no Linux or Switch support. It appears that a Switch version is coming, but what about Linux?

No mouse support at all! Only gamepad / keyboard Quite crippling for an otherwise decent game.

Bought this on Steam and returned it after 60 minuets of play. The game gimmick of running a shop get old fast but its real problem is how janky the controls are, the character moves in a very strong grid like manor which makes dodging tricky as well attack have long duration in which your charter just stands still waiting for the attack time to run out well you're hammering on the controls trying to get him to move out of the way of an incoming attack. All and all its just an unfinished combat system that I was so unimpressed with I got my money back.

Moonlighter is a greate game! The infinite loop won't let you tear of. You go to the dungeons, then you have to sell loot and craft new gear and then you want to give it a try in battle. The cool thing is, that selling items obtained in dungeons also gives lot of fun. Battle is challenging and satysfaying. Player can choose betwen five types of weapons and can change them whenever he want between dungeon runs (you can bring two of them at one time). Controls in fight are slightly anoying, but this make game even harder and doesn't disturb too much. I really enjoy Moonlighter and I hope that you also will :)

Don't get me wrong, the game is great. However, what I could'nt know before I played it, was that they do NOT support non QWERTY keyboard and keybinding for movements, meaning that you have to configure your OS to switch from on layout to another, every time you launch and exit the game...That's just great! Best idea ever. In what universe, could you possibly make a game that runs on basically every device/system but not on different keyboard layouts ?? Oh and...They do not support mouses. At all. Keyboard and controllers are the only input accepted. Attacking, moving, whatever; mouses are not accepted as input in anyway. That's....bold. To say the least. So this review has the sole purpose of warning you. If you do not want to use a QWERTY layout or a controller...I'll advise you not to buy this game. And, to be honest, I kinda hope developers/publishers are going to read these review and realize what a terrible decision making that was...And hopefully change their mind ;)
