Middle-earth™: Shadow of Mordor™ Game of the Year Edition

The intro looks really good, visual effects, music are all very high quality I got it as an action game to have some fun once in a while killing monsters, but... Could not play more than one hour, I do not have a controller, and keyboard+mouse control in this game was awful I tried several kb combinations, they play one worse than the previous, unfortunately

Great game: finished all side-quests & story missions. It can be punishing if you don't master it. If you do, however,... you'll be OP. Fluent movement freezes: -New Captain Arrival Announcements take TOOO LOOOOOOONG,.. -after teleporting between towers player can't move for 3 seconds, -when jumping from a high place I must wait for him 1 second to unblock (instead of rolling he can't run or move but has to finish the animation)

Story: The plot is fairly by-the-books, but the world is packed to the brim with lore that I'm sure Tolkien fans are thrilled by. Metagame: The nemesis system is brilliant fun, to the point I'd recommend the game for it alone. Movement: Sometimes good, sometimes horribly clunky. Boosting off of obstacles while running is great, and climbing is excellent (when it doesn't randomly fail and attract nearby enemies), but all other movement (and there is a lot of it) is weird, janky, and slow. Sure, that comes with the territory when you can climb (almost) anything, but that's more of a reason than an excuse. Combat: Think the Arkham series, but with a few additions. Most of them are good (stunning weaker opponents, lots of opportunities for counter attacks), and some of them are bad (the game often spawns infinite enemies while in combat, making it nonviable outside of situations that specifically require it.) Stealth: The other worst component of the game. Between Uruks sometimes looking in the opposite direction their models are facing and the button for attracting lone enemies being the same as the one that lunges into them and kills them as loudly as possible, undeserved failure is constant. Add to that the fact that some stealth missions can not be quick-retried, and you're set to walk away from the game miserable time and time again because Tallion decides he wants you to fail. Despite walking away from most play sessions angrily ranting about how bad the game is, I'm actually going to recommend it. Here's to hoping the next game in the series can bring it that one last step to... Oh. Oh. Right.

I think it has a great system combat, by the oterhand the quests are monotonus and repetitive for me. For example, in the middle of the game before you can do quest 10 you have to kill 4 elite enimes to can acces to the next part of the story.

yeah i think its still great for 2024 but the missions repeat themselves maybe too much
