This game is great fun!
Fun game, quick to get into and hard to master. Captures the feel of the old games rerally well, without treading on the toes of a new set of engaging mechanics.

Metal Slug Tactics
It's missing at least two levels of difficulty below the lowest one for me to recommend this to anyone. There should be a difficulty for becoming accustomed to the mechanics, and an intermediate version on top of that. Instead you cannot complete any missions without a comprehensive understanding of several systems. If they add an 'Easy' and 'Normal' difficulty, with either more HP, less enemy damage, less enemy HP, less enemies, or some combination of these to help you get your bearings, then I'd have no problem switching this to recommended.👍

A fun beautiful, fast paced tactical 5/5
Super cool game! I don't remember last time when a design was so fun, let alone inspire me to write it's "cool". It's polished and designed with a lot of thought, skill, and love. And it shows. These guys nailed it! What I love about this game - it's designed to keep you acting as a turn based game and want to experience the action and has a challenging difficulty that requires you to plan ahead with your moves so you can't just mindlessly run and gun 100%. Exactly what I like! Design wise it's a beautiful game, the gameplay is fun, the choiecs matter, and it gives you freedom to play as you like. If you had enough about those slow paced turn based tacticals like XCOM or Disgaea, this game let's you have a LOT MORE FUN, you don't feel constricted by trying to make every move count to a high degree. I also played Into the breach like other reviewers but into the breech was just pure puzzle mechanics, zero action. gameplay wise these are worlds apart and I think are compared more because of the pixel graphics.

Atypical ,but Very Faithful to the saga!
This game has been quite a welcoming surprise,knowing it's roots, from run and gun to atactical Roleplay game! however, don't hesistate to save and close off your game , sometimes, some music will loop on itself and over the next one,causing a very weird audio bug.

Controls are everything!
While it's an interesting blend of strategy and roguelike elements, the game has some notable issues. The gameplay mechanics are engaging. However, the controls are not intuitive at all, which can be frustrating. The UI is also inconsistent, and the camera can be disorienting. Visually, the pixel art style is a nice nod to the series' roots, but some might find it lacking compared to previous entries. Overall, it's a commendable attempt at merging Metal Slug with turn-based tactics, but the steep learning curve and control issues might deter most players. Rating: 2/5
