MEH.
Very dated gameplay with very mediocre mechanics The balancing is a little all over the place and just the overall paceing of the game is just dirt slow sure There's some fun to be had if you paid next to nothing but overall don't grab this game unless it's on heavy discount there is some soul to it and I will probably figure out how to grind through this game better but the mechanics just simply put it feel like a chore

Amazing Classic
One of my all time favourite classics. build up your death robot army and off you go. Also in case any one wants them: Press Escape in game and press the following keys (Shift) CCCm (Resources) (Shift) CCCl (Wins level)

Great game, but beware of slow pacing
An excellent game that didn't get the praise it deserved back then. Interesting aspects of the game: - This was one of the few RTS games where you can customize your units (mechs) in meaningful ways. You can pick the crew, what left and right arm you'd like to use and the leg types. Jetpacks, cloaking technology, katanas, shields, laser swords, this game had it all. - Metal fatigue has 3 different layers of the map, namely orbital height, surface height and underground. You can build on all 3 and certain units can switch between certain layers while others can't. There are advantages and disadvantages to the different layers. For example, you can invest in solar panels in orbital height but it requires a lot of time but the resources there are basically infinite. Whereas underground you can find geothermal energy patches which are a finite resource but can be harvested much more quickly. Sadly when we played this game on a LAN party we found out that players can dominate in one layer of the game shutting out any invasions from the other layer. This meant that there was often a stalemate and while there are ways around this (for example Tectonic Torpedoes to destroy a player burrowed in) it would take a very long time to get there.
