In Megabyte Punch, you travel through different environments, you battle other creatures to get their parts. Parts have their own powers and bonuses, like gun arms for a shoot ability or powerful hips for a devastating pelvic thrust attack. The Sum Of Its Parts
Megabyte Punch is a good, if predictable, platform fighting game with pleasing polygonal graphics. The story is simply the excuse to battle through the zones, and the zones themselves play off of many familiar platform tropes (dead world, ice world, factory world). The dialogue with game characters is similarly familiar and serviceable. The central gameplay mechanic is brawling, with some special combat and movement skills available with the right parts (such as rocket launchers, mine layers, and gliding wings). Combat is generally fluid and intuitive, particularly once you get used to the way powers are mapped to the controller. And yes, you'll want to use a controller for this game, it is vastly better that way. The visuals, by and large, are attractive as well as informative, since the robot parts are distinct and thus you can often tell what an enemy can do by seeing how they are constructed. The music is, like the rest of the game, appropriate without being outstanding. Megabyte Punch, like your robot protagonist, is exactly the sum of its parts, but nothing more. More fun to me than, say, Guacamelee, but not any deeper than it appears. If you go into it with that understanding, then you should have an enjoyable time.

Too repetitive.
Like the concept. But the repetitive combat and overly long, uninteresting levels really make it more of a chore than a game.

Have Friends? GET THIS GAME!
This game is the TRUTH! The campaign could have been a wee bit longer, but the multiplayer is really where it is at! Have a party, play this game!!! The only thing this game needs is a sequel! And a few more pieces to work with, but is great as is!

Got tired of it after 2 hours of gamplay
You guys did a really good job at video editing your promotional video, it tricked me into buying the game, which I regret a lot. Lesson learned to always watch a few videos of gameplay on youtube before buying; don't know why I didn't do it this time, but anyway. Why I didn't like it: *Extremely overpriced (even though I purchased it with a discount, it is way to overpriced for what it offers). *UI is messy, very clogged and unintuitive. *The upgradable parts mechanic is just there to fill space, no real usefulness to it. *Controls and special attacks system is just... awkward, plus, they are not very responsive, which tends to be quite frustrating at some moments. *The ESC button is almost a global button to go BACK when you have multiple layers in the UI, in this game, the pause menu goes on top of the whatever menu you are looking at (taking a deep breath here...). *Gets very, VERY monotonous without playing for too long! * This "auto-jump" when hanging from the walls by just pressing the arrow button in the direction you want to go to is just... (another deep breath...). This removes a fun factor that is present in many games, which is actually having control over your character. Sometimes it is intentional to restrain some movements, but it is definitely obvious it wasn't well thought out in here. *There are some other things, but I don't recall them. Just to mention, every downside goes into the gameplay and every type of interaction system. The aesthetics of the game are great, nice retro low-poly looking. Unfortunately, a game is not all about aesthetics, you can have one pixel on the screen give you the most fun in your life.
