SSI's Medieval Lords places you in this most influential role. Set in the years 1028AD-1530AD, Medieval Lords is a simple yet exciting simulation of politics and war in Europe, North Africa and the Middle East - on a grand strategic scale!

Advise an Emperor, King, Emir, Sultan, Khan, Caliph or Duke in six historical scenarios. Manipulate political, economic and military elements at home and abroad to first establish, then strengthen and expand your Lord's empire. Your options are many and varied: propose alliances, subvert enemy nobles, award territory, build castles, declare war - whatever it takes!

Medieval Lords includes random but historically accurate events such as papal declarations of heresy, Crusades, the Black Plague and Mongol invasions!

Game from 1991 - was abandonware.

No manual is provided. You will have to search online to find one. Author claims it was developed as a historical teaching tool for his students. Game bears a heavy similarity to the old SPI board game "Empires of the Middle Ages". I purchased it for this reason and fans of that old game would likely find value here. Game really does feel it's age. I probably overpaid by getting it on sale at about $3.50 but wanted it because of the similarity to the board game so gave it two stars instead of one.
