It's certainly worth trying

I didn't know until recently that MOO3 was so hated by fans of MOO2. MOO3 didn't capture what made MOO2 special, but it's very good 4X space strategy game. I've seen a few reviews slamming this game for being buggy at release, but I've never had any problems with the copy i brought years ago or the copy from GOG, and many patches exist for any bugs that remain. Judge this game on it's on merits and don't compare it to MOO2 and i'm sure many of you will appreciate this games many strong points.

Do Not Buy

This is the worst game I ever played. I bought it back in 2004 and have been plagued with nightmares ever since. I have been seeing a therapist and concluded that i need to warn the world about this game if only to stop another person from buying this game. if you value your sanity do not buy this game.

you'll hate yourself if you do.

This game is a UN meeting run by windows vista. So if you like to micro manage, and are a politician, then you might, JUST MIGHT like this game. For everyone else, either stick to #2 or buy #2, thats the best option.

Poor

A terrible sequel and unworthy of the title Master of Orion. If a game requires fan-made mods to make it good, then it's simply not a good game by itself. Boring and extremely disappointing. It has some good ideas but really poor execution.
