Master of Flaws!
After the countless hours wasted playing the first two I was very hopeful and followed the launch of Master of Orion 3 pre-ordering my copy over a month in advance. I was active in the early modding community and even after many patches and user mods the game was just unable to be fixed from the failure that arrived at release. Please go purchase Master of Orion 1 and 2 and skip this one!

i dont know why they ruined the series
master of orion.. the series that brought 4x games to the masses and ended the social lives if tens of thousands of people for years on end is concluded with.. master of orion 3... how on earth could they take 2 amazing games that come before it and totally and completely ruin the experience.. i love 4 x games, i bought this as soon as it was released and to this day its one of the worst gaming buys ive ever made only beaten by dungeon lords

I have the original CD. this game,took MoO 2 and killed it. i will quote Spoony on this:"BETRAYAL".it has nothing to do with master of orion.don't waste your money on it

Not worthy to be part of the series
When I heard about this before it came out, I managed to follow the dev diary, which had some really nifty stuff on it. Then the game came out and I got buried in data, not all of which was useful. The space combat was a pain in the backside. Managing your empire was an exercise in frustration if you tried to do it yourself - the less said about trying to manage your planets, the better. About the only good thing about 3 was the land combat system, but that was it. Amongst my friends it is known as the game that does not exist, rather like there is no second Highlander film. Really, if you're after a good 4X game, get the MOO 1 & 2 pack, which is a steal.
