great old game
Absolute pixel classic! 1980s madness at its best. Runs stable on scummv. Controls are old school but still manageable. Pity there is hardly any sound in these old games. This game really deserves a new edition, just like monkey island and other great games got it.

LOVE THIS GAME
This game!!! We need more Maniac Mansions, Thimbleweed parks, Simon the Sourcerer, and Lucy Dreaming!!! MM is my OG classic game that got me hooked on these adventure games.

Fascinating view into the past
I joined P&C adventures roughly a decade later with "Broken Sword", which defined t he genre for me, since then I played a lot of other more or less modern P&C adventures; so I can't enjoy Maniac Mansion how it would have been at the time, in the 1980s within a less defined genre (Except maybe for Sierras stuff). So I can see why it has become so popular, but I have to admit that it was just mildly entertaining for me. Still fascinating as a piece of Gaming history.
