In the end, Mad Games Tycoon is an entertaining, challenging game that will put your resource management skills to the test. Even with a lack of any real tutorial and some bad animations this was still a game worth picking up.

Good enough.

If you like Game Dev Tycoon, you will love Mad Games Tycoon. It has a lot more options and decision in relation to GDT. I don't like the graphics though, but it's still okay.

Best in the Genre

This is easily my favorite game in the genre. Fun, entertaining and if you randomize things it can be pretty challenging as well. Not for everyone of course but I quite enjoyed the game.

"Theme Hospital" Style

An entertaining game, with an old style visuals, but very friendly and construct. A little confusing at beginning (and difficult), but very gracious when you take the idea! It's a good one.

An unexpectedly fun game

I really enjoyed this game. It's a well-done sim that has a good amount of insight and thought put into it. I can't speak for how this is for people who aren't accustomed to business strategy/sim games, but I know it's going way too far to say this game wasn't intuitive at all, as some reviewers have. I suppose it's a little dryer than a lot of games in the genre, but it does what it does well. And yeah, it's meta as hell -- deal with it, people. Is anyone going to complain about books that are about authors now too? Or movies about the film industry? Come on. I haven't bought it yet, but I'm looking forward to playing the sequel. Big thumbs up from me on this one.

Way more fun than I thought it would be

I sunk a lot of hours into this game. First play-through my company made games based on all my favorites from childhood; Eternal Fantasy III, Breath of Flame, Soul BladeMaster, Sim City-Builder 3000, Pit Fighter 2, Super Italian Bros. Second time, I manufactured my own gaming systems and made billions. Third time again, I tried to license game engines, publish, and manufacture my own games. This game is easy to get into and plenty of depth to keep replaying.
