Underwhelming and flat out bad.
This game fights with numerous issues and I have encountered over the two hours or so I played which i will be addressing but first I am going to talk about the positives: +A nice artstyle, I liked the artstyle of the first game better though. Now for the negative: -The game is horribly balanced. While the detective is nigh unplayable, the professor is basically easy mode coasting. Didn't try the witch. Every attack I have encountered does always sets a debuff such as bleeding or poison. So you get effectively punished twice for taking an attack. -The combat is awfully clunky and repetitive. While I do understand what the devs aimed here for this is just not acceptable. For example you cannot dodge roll and reload at the same time. Dodging with the detective will restart your reload - the professor does not have this issue (again balancing!) as he does not dodge, he gets a shield, he can activate. And the reload for the detective is absurdly long. -Aiming is off! Where my gun points and my bullets fly does not line up. -The spike traps are fucking shit. Sorry, they are. -Much more that I won't get into here. For now stay away. Maybe the game can be patched.
