I'm just writing this because I saw this game was $5 at -85% off in the store. This game should be $5 NORMALLY--$30 6 years after the release of this crap game is a laugh.
If you haven't played a Souls game, play that instead. If you have, you will not find this a decent soulslike.
I know I'm not going into *why* I believe this--that's because I'm lazy and don't care that much. But, I'll add my voice to the chorus telling you to avoid this in favor of much better titles in the genre.
You can't even consume a health potion without getting clobbered by some overpowered boss. Good thing I got this on sale. Uninstalling after leaving this rage review.
If you never heard about this game or don't know why we don't like this game: It tries to be Dark Souls but misses the point. In Dark Souls all bosses had patterns and cooldowns/openings and it is possible to beat the game without being hit. The levels invited you to explore and were designed thoughtfully.
In Lords of the Fallen?
The second boss you encounter and the shield enemies after that have attacks that are impossible to counter after dodging or blocking them, since their cooldowns end before you recover from your dodge/stagger which makes the already slow fights unbearable unless you exploit the A.I. All bosses after that have this problem. Also this game has many bugs and glitches. Imagine you get stuck in the ground or a wall after playing a long time without saving just to have to restart because you are stuck somewhere. Great fun.
This game is product of clumsy development and people who have no idea why the souls-formula was a great success back then. The Surge, the follow up by the same devs still have the same problems so these guys will never learn from their mistakes.
It is a shame hat gog is now adding so many low quality products instead of focusing on "good old games" or quality titles that are on people's wishlists for years.
Great gems like the Zachtronic games are not allowed on gog because they would look like phone games and devs are becoming more more dissatisfied with gog because only curators are important to them, hence why they add low quality products/scams like this instead or allow games that will be abandoned on gog whole the Steam versions are updated.

This is a Very Good Game. Please do not listen to the Dark Souls Fuq-boys. If yu want Dark Souls, go play Dark Souls. This is Lords Of the Fallen. Unlike Dark Souls, this game doesn't control like it's On Crack. Buy it and Love it but do not come here expecting to play Crap-Souls. This game stands on it's own feat. These are the same developers that did the Surge & I take Lords Of The fallen & The Surge Over any rubbish that comes from FROM SOFTWARE and their copy and paste series Crappy ports. called Dark Souls BUY IT!!!! & Please stop comparing this Game to Dark Souls. Because Dark Souls was not the first game of this Genre.
