TWINSEN'S LITTLE BIG ADVENTURE is a trademark of [2.21] S.A.S
I first saw LBA1 when I was a little kid. My cousin got a video/music free version which was on something like 10 floppy disks. I was in love with this game since first glance, and I kept looking forward for any sequels.
Then LBA2 came out and I wasn't disappointed at any point.
Great music, incredible storyline, mixing the adventure and platform game makes it unique, fun to play, and was a part of my little-kid life.
Some time later, my CD with this game broke and I was very sad. But then LBA appears on gog.com I bought both games like immediately and again had some fun, and all the memories came back at once.
This game definitely gets five stars, but I have to include the caveat that there are a number of glitches along with some odd moments in the game play. For me that was half the fun, but it might be frustrating to some - especially on the first play through. It's not always incredibly intuitive, especially considering how far game design has advanced since this game first game on scene, but all that extra troubleshooting and exploration can take you into some unexpected places.
While the story is mostly pretty linear, there are a number of cool things to explore that branch off the main path. (The telescope on top of the Hacienda del Monte Pilado will lead you to one very worthwhile side quest.)
Everything about this game is unique, artful and delicious. I first played this game when I was around 10 years old, but I've played it many times since into my adulthood. Even on the last playthrough
This game was so far ahead of its time, in its day. Like so many here, I have very fond memories of this series. I recall that it was somewhat under the radar. I didnt know anyone else that was even aware of it back then. I guess I was wrong! Ah, good times.. Good times.
These games (LBA1 and LBA2) really defined me as a gamer and as a person. One of the few games even now that actually has a story that you can get attached to that pushes you forward. One of the games of my childhood that just leaves you with a feeling of accomplishment after you play it. Everyone really should try it I promise you will love it.
