terrible controls, bad graphics, monotonous game play, no spice... not worth anything.
there is a bit of potential for a decent game, but it is just so buggy/crappy to play.
I stopped playing after the 10th repeat arrows game simply did not work as intended.
I played it when it first came out. In my opinion it is the weakest game in the series. That mini arcade system makes it feel like a totally different franchises. The game would do better if it tried to be it's own thing and not trying to parasite on the popular name.
I got it, in part, for the chance to play the game, in hopes that it would continue the legacy of the series. To be honest, I wasn't thrilled. In fact, I don't even want to complete the game. I understand that the series takes over with Larry Lovage, Larry Laffer's nephew, and is trying to bring in a new fan base. Thus, it relies more on the elements that were big when it was made, dance games, rhythm games, and more games of skill. The series I enjoyed were mental games. While this is not my Larry, it does keep some things the same from the original series. Having only made it through the Sally Mae part of the game, Larry Lovage has the same luck with women that Larry Laffer had, he fails with a lady for the same reason his uncle did, usually something out of their control. The arcade element is for a different age than my own, so if you are more skilled at the arcade games, this could be a Larry game for you. If you have, however, played the originals, and still feel the need to play this one, please take note of some of the nods to the original series in it. I noticed two in the time I've played. If you aren't in the mood for arcade style games, stick with the originals. At least this one is better than Box Office Bust. I could play more of this than I could of that one.
A great game and it let me reminisce of my young days playing this on Xbox, however, the further you get in the game the more it glitched. As the title says, it should be a five star game but due to the constant glitches in the camera and mini games it was making the game hard to enjoy. Some of the mini games I had to wimp out just because the glitching made it near impossible to beat or get perfects when I should have. All in all, i did manage to beat it again, I just wish those glitches were not in it. I also don't remember those glitches on the XBox version back in the day. Could be wrong, but I don't remember them.
