Leisure Suit Larry has done it longer, deeper, and stronger. He’s been “around the block”, so to speak. He’s seen it all, from sleazy nightclubs and seedy bars with alleys that should be avoided at all times. He’s even gone native for a bit and grabbed a piece of the island life. His life has been full of tight spots and pulsating pectorals. His lizard’s always lounging and looking for love in several wrong places, the more the merrier! Always willing and able to perform some undercover work, our man Larry is a swingin’ single guy out for some action! His lines are as groovy as a record and his strut is something to be seen!

Leisure Suit Larry’s Greatest Hits and Misses features the loveable loser Larry Laffer in five complete adventures with throbbing suspense, pulchritudinous point-and-click action, and some parsing on the side! Hubba hubba! Help Larry score as you hit the town of Lost Wages, Nevada which “looks like a huge neon dinosaur making it with 6,000 acres of electrified sequins”, the scintillating sandy shores of Nontoonyt Island, and go to Los Angeles and paint the town red. Celebrate Larry’s finest years and remember, big things come in small packages!

Larry, you have not aged well...

The first of the infamous Larry games. I had to give it a try. The graphics are beyond dated at this point, so I’m not even going to judge it by that. Basically, this game is one of the original type of games where you have to actually type in the comment section of the game what you want to see happen, for example, you would type “Eat apple”, to see someone eat an apple. This game may not be for everyone at this point in time, but for an old school gamer such as myself, I had to give it a try. It is still the typical Leisure Suit Larry antics offered by any of the games I had played in my Original Xbox years. Would I recommend this game to a friend? No, most likely not. Could I have a conversation about this game in this series? Most definitely! I'll give it a solid 1/5, for the story in this dated game. Too much of ... nothing...

The only one I can play is, "Love for Sale." All the other ask my age, or some other question that I don't have then quits on me. I think it's a form of copyright protection. It's annoying, to say the least and I am wondering if it's worth the effort. Even the game I could actually start playing - Love for Sale - I have no idea what to do or why.

Overrated Trash

These old Sierra games are just AWFUL. If you don't need a walktrhough you need alot of patience and low standards to put up with their unfairnes, poor game design. They hadn't figure things out yet, and wanted to sell game walkthroughs to the public pre online walkthroughts. This game is not like the older Lucas Arts adventure game, where the graphics didn't give you a head ache and make your eyes fall out of your head. It wasn't like the older Lucas Arts games where you could save, come back and never worry about dead ends and unfair puzzles that you could never in 1000 years figure out alone. Word of mouth, walkthroughs made these games possible to get through at worst, at best several play throughs and lots of patience. Anyone who gives Sierra games a pass for all their horrible design flaws or doesn't acknowledge how they aren't always the most pleasureable, easy-going, enjoyable game experience is either full of crap or being too biased and or nostaligic. Having been born in 1987, the older graphics were state of the art, pretty cool back when. Going back to these games, the pixel art from the 90s and on, even 2020s is sooo much better and actually a wonderful art form now. The illustrated adventures from say 97 on and fantastic and games like Blade Runner are still a quite impressive, visually immersive, creative experience. I can even appreciate that these games had state of the art graphics at the time...but with their clunky controls, text parsor movement and having to sometimes read the mind of the developers, they are just AWFUL.... We have these games to thank as being pionners to a genre that has been perfected over decades, as much as we do early medical science running poop on open wounds to clense them. The humor in these games ranges from actually pg-13 to cringe this is awful and who wrote this an 14 year old!? The firstr game has a boring, mostly uneventful story line...the early sequels are frustrating and suck too.
