Maybe I missed something, really basic

So looking at the comments on steam and other places, I brought this expecting something Zelda like. It is not. Sure the perspective is like it, and the sword swinging a bit like it, but that is where it ends. There is no story. There are four dungeons, 4 levels of about 9-12 squares (maybe more in dungeon 3 or 4). The game is incredible simple, no depth at all. Puzzles consist of getting to a square you wouldn’t normally do to exit the dungeon. Combat is a bit hit and miss. There really is not much to say about this, if I hadn’t brought it I would assume it’s an early demo for a game on Kickstarter to garner interest. So two stars, not because there is much wrong (just a niggle with the combat), but because there is not enough here to warrant it being released as a full game.

Repetitive and boring

It's a very plain dungeon crawler. Music is kind of meh and the gameplay gets tiring soon. Would not recommend it. Try the demo first.

Clever, but bare bones Zelda-esque

To say this game has minimal plot is an understatement. There is no motivation beyond 'these dungeons are here, Sir Lootsalot wants that treasure' the bosses have no motivation for what they do or why they're even there. Link in the first Legend of Zelda on NES had more personality. That being said, the sliding block puzzles will break your brain in two. The game is short and doesn't overstay its welcome, and isn't charging you more than what you get. The graphics are pretty pixel art. There's a nice little detail that each enemy leaves a unique corpse that remains persistent until you go to a different floor. The difficulty increase is fair. The bosses aren't mindless attacking, you WILL have to learn their patterns and try every trick in your arsenal to bring them down. It's nothing groundbreaking, and isn't trying to be. It know exactly what kinda game it is, and doesn't pretend to be anything different. This is for people who want to play four classic Zelda style dungeons and then be done with it.

small game with puzzles

-4 levels -far to be "zelda game" more like "goof troop" -tons of puzzle (some are hard) -not rpg game -graphics look 8bits nintendo resume: you need some skill in combat and much more brain to solve puzzles in this 8bits short game. the puzzles remenber me goof troop game from snes where you need to solve that block puzzles

Enjoyable Experience

Normally I would give a game that was less than 8 hours 4 stars due to the lack of content, but I thought this game was good enough to warrant a 5 star rating. It's actually a pretty great dungeon crawling, Zelda-like puzzle game that doesn't take itself too seriously. It has a lot of good humour throughout, and the gameplay is very smooth and very enjoyable. The puzzles are actually quite challenging at times, but some of them were a bit vague and they got a little repetitive by the end. This is one of those games that has real potential to be something big, so I hope that the developer takes the time to expand the world.
