The heart of our much-loved young Sir Hans Capon is bursting with overwhelming longing for... his latest flame.
The second DLC "The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon" for Kingdom Come: Deliverance revolves around his attempts to woo the fairest maid he has ever set eyes upon, and his success will not depend only on his own mastery of the art of love – it’s also up to his trusty wingman, you - Henry, to ensure that The Amorous Adventures of Bold Sir Hans Capon come to a happy end!
That’s the main objective linking three new quests, in which you will not only have to read love poems, arrange a nighttime tryst and keep an enraged butcher at bay, but also infiltrate the camp of a band of bloodthirsty brigands, enter a dice tournament, dig up a corpse, investigate a murder and... er... perhaps commit a few. All for love, of course!
The DLC overall was fun, I enjoyed the quest and to be fair it probably was one of the best quests in the game however the DLC literally adds only one quest which you can complete in less than an hour. I am incredibly disappointed and quite frankly I feel robbed. I do not recommend buying this DLC unless it is on sale.
This DLC is decently fun, though it peaks early during the dice tournament. It's a nice little experience and is entertaining and funny. I definitely appreciate more Hans Capon. That all said, the elephant in the room is the amount of content for the price. It'll take you 2-3 hours to complete this quest line. Maybe 4 if you're conservative about it. That's not very much content for 1/6th the price of the actual full game, so I don't think I can recommend this DLC unless you can pick it up discounted.
As others have said, the quest is well done and has you traveling to a unique location along with doing some interesting things. The reason for 3/5 is that the price is expensive; like the From The Ashes DLC they add some great content but for the pricetag they don't feel as satisfying as they should. Hopefully in the future they might add a few more options and cosmetic changes to From The Ashes (like a little bit more customization) and add something a bit more to this DLC.
I'll be honest: I liked this quest.
The problem is, it's just that. A quest (granted, it has two sub-quests), for 10 dollars. I think that's a bit much - especially as content-wise the free DLC-quests of Witcher 3 took about the same time to complete, if you count out the content that was already there, but that you now need to do for this quest - if you're taking the scenic route, that is.
You could potentially complete this quest in about 30 minutes, I think. For me, it took roughly an hour, because I wanted to do things so I would get as much story out of it as I could. I could be wrong, but I recall the promises being around 5 to 10 hours, so this feels like a scam.
The tournament mode, on the other hand, seems fine. Many commentators here have failed to point out, though, that it's not actually a part of this DLC, but a part of the free patch, so it doesn't affect my review.
I enjoyed the DLC to an extent, but in retrospect most of the time the events going on were very bland compared to the rest of the game. Finding out who murdered the noble takes 5 minutes, and on top of that there is no satisfying conclusion to that part of the quest. I wish the investigation part of the quest would have been more flushed out and would have actually required some critical thinking. On the other hand, the whole namesake of the DLC, Hans' quest, is very lackluster. You get the amulet, sneak into the butcher's house, recite a poem, and bam you're done. For 10 dollars, the DLC is not worth the price and I wish it would have extended my play time of the game more than it did.
