A game worth buying
I had a great time playing this fabulous indi game. The developers of "Kathy Rain" did a great job making you care for the plot with good character development and quality mystery feeling. The detective work is challenging and rewarding. This is a quality point-and-click detective game. was worth buying:)

Brilliant
This game brilliantly weaves together a mystery and builds atmosphere. It uses fun, innovative mechanics I've never seen in an AGS game before and it's just terrific. When I heard about this game, and that it was set up for a sequel, I was suspicious that this game would end without a satisfying resolution, but that's not the case at all. I can't wait for the next one.

Graphics on Mac are broken
It's unacceptable that the game isn't working properly on a Mac. Fortunately it's fixable though: 1. Open up the game folder and navigate to /KathyRain.app/Contents/Resources/ Note: you need to right-click "KathyRain.app" and select "Show Package Contents". 2. Open the file acsetup.cfg with any text editor (TextEdit works fine). 3. Find the line "gfxfilter=max" and replace it with "gfxfilter=none" 4. Save and close the file acsetup.cfg. Run the game and now it should show black bars at both sides, using the correct aspect ratio (4:3). Credits to Jeff42 from the forum https://www.gog.com/forum/kathy_rain/aspect_ratio_on_mac/post3

Occult Themed
Didn't realize this when I got it, but it's occult themed, while the puzzles difficulty was just right for my play style and the voice acting was good. Forewarned is Forearmed, and pass on this occult themed game.
