Thousands of years ago the great civilizations of Shangri-La, El Dorado, and Atlantis had vanished. Behind their mysterious disappearance lies a legend of power and destruction that will ultimately determine the future of humanity. As Gage Blackwood, Agent #5 of the Temporal Security Agency, you will travel through time, assume multiple identities, and weave your way through an intricate web of puzzles. Hidden within these lost worlds lies the key to mankind's survival.
Journeyman Project 3 is a worthy installment of the franchise. A fascinating story, memorable characters, and puzzles that are both fun and intuitive are only the tip of an iceberg of what this game has to offer. The third installment features gameplay improvements like a first person perspective view, and the new "Chameleon Jumpsuit" that lets you interact with characters form the past. Also, Jerry Rector does an excellent job playing Gage Blackwood. When compared to the previous installments, this one is everything they were and more. If you are a fan of the series than this is a no-brainer. If you haven’t heard of those games before then this is a good place to start, even though this is the third part, because the story exists independently from the previous ones, and the production values and gameplay are top of their class.
Enhanced graphics with double the video playback resolution over the original CD-ROM release.
Dozens of different locations ranging from mythical Atlantis, to the harmonious valley of Shangri La, and even the golden city of El Dorado.
Gripping plot with many twists that will keep you entertained for hours.
Assume the identity of 18 characters and experience their ancient cultures first-hand, using the "Chameleon Jumpsuit".

Loved this game in my youth, but I can't get it to work on Windows 10. The video plays way faster than the audio, de-syncing them. I haven't found a working solution so far.
I love the imagination and sincerity that went into this series, and the third installment is no exception- it's a fun sci-fi tale with strong continuity ties to the previous games, the characters are memorable, colorful and fun to interact with, the acting's decent, the environments are interesting, and the puzzles are fairly easy without being boring- and if you ever do get stuck, there's a built-in hint system. The new chameleon suit, in addition to being a pretty cool update to the bulky deep-sea-diver-looking time suits from before, introduces a new mechanic where you can take on the guise of anyone you see, and it's fun to change form and see how the same people react differently to you depending on who they believe you are. As far as I could tell, there were no deaths this time, making a game over impossible, though you can manage to get beaten up by a couple characters in a fairly amusing fashion. Your chatty AI assistant, Arthur, is back from the previous game, and his quips range from annoyingly over-the-top to laugh-out-loud funny. He can be a little irritating sometimes, but it really wouldn't be the same without him. The other characters have some interesting twists and revelations that might surprise you, and the aliens are surprisingly present and real-feeling despite their very badly dated CGI. It feels a little lighter and sillier than the previous entries in the series, but is a very enjoyable journey.
An atmospheric point'and'click game that's really fun to play through. You don't have to have played the earlier games in the series to get the story (since I didn't back when it came out). If you are into mythological places like Atlantis, El Dorado and Shangrai La it scratches that itch and if you are into historical things like Ancient Grreece and native southern american cultures you learn a lot about that as well.
A bit clunky to get running and even then graphical problems with the cursor and certain areas of the screen took away some of the enjoyment. A tip for others is to lower the graphics of your screen and that makes the game start, or sometimes it just worked for some reason, but I managed get it running without the need for downloading external patches or such things. Still hope for a ScummVM adaption in the future to make it work pefectly.
I love this game. Bought it a decade ago off GoG (indeed, discovered GoG because of it) and could play it on Vista and Windows 10 no problem. Now it no longer works out of the box on Windows 11. It freezes at the main menu every time.
GoG, get your stuff together and make this compatible again because anyone purchasing this now is buying a lemon.
This was one of my favorite games growing up so it was nice to be able to have a downloadable version. Unfortuantely this no longer works well with Windoews 11, out of synch audio and video and difficulty navigating the game makes this game difficult to enjoy now. Another example where an update is needed so the game will work out of the box like it used to.
