I enjoyed the first Intravenous & this game so far has been more of the same you can dispatch targets however like, you can go in guns blazing like some kind of action movie commando or take the more stealthy route & just sneak around cutting throats like some midnight slasher flick.
A love letter to early Splinter Cells (up to the venerable Chaos Theory). Has all those too convenient vents and hiding spots, the opaque-transparent e-glass from Displace's office, liberty to go guns blazing (LOTS of guns and lots of customization). Some RPG elements to keep your sense of character development going on.
There are some minor bugs but the dev is very active and is going to weed them out soon.
Intravenous 1: Don't make Steve mad
Intravenous 2: Don't make Steve sad
I think Intravenous 2 is possibly one of the best games ever made. At the time of this review, I am only short a few achievements and played every ending (there are 4). There are significant improvements over the first game including the aiming, gun play, optional weapons, modifications.
I enjoyed the plot for the first game and the plot for this one as well (despite not being a revenge story). In the first game, you feel like you should defeat everyone, while Intravenous 2 has a different feel where you're torn between whether you can save your Dad. Thankfully, there are plenty of extra/optional Steve missions if you want to get the "doom" music going early.
My only, and very small gripe, is that when you're using the emp pistol, you cannot lock pick a breaker box.
