It's good, but not Icewind Dale 2 EE :/
++++++++ A silent protagonist ++++ The setting is pretty good ++ The sidequests are decent ++ The ui is very intuitive ++++ You make your own party of 6 adventurers ++++ The gameplay is decent for such an old game ++++ There is a story mode ++++ The area loot button is amazing ++++ The character creation is pretty good ++++ The inventory system is pretty good, and it makes us carefully consider what loot to keep and what to toss away ++++ We can do the dlc after the main quest if we want to, and i think that helps the structure of the game a lot ------ There are very few dialogue options in this game ------ The dialogue options are very specific and that limits roleplaying imo, i wish they had added some basic dialogue options like yes and no and maybe later. Those dialogue options are great because they allow us to decide what our characters mean when we choose one of those options ---- I don't think of this as an rpg, i think of this as an interactive book. to be fair though, most RPGs are just interactive books/movies, at least this one is fun -- I don't like that we have to "roll" for our attribute points, it's just a waste of time -- It's not 3rd edition or pathfinder :/ -- For some reason magic users can only use staves - slings or darts, and clerics can only use maces - clubs and flails :/ For me it was worth the money to experience the story and the world, but i don't consider this a true rpg. I consider this an interactive book with a decent story.
