Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number

Hotline Miami 1 is a masterpiece. Hotline Miami 2 is a good game if judged on its own which is only possible if you didn't played HM1 first. But a horrible sequel. It would had been better if they had released the game editor as a DLC for HM1. Biggest problem of HM2 is that too many questionable and detrimental choices were made in both the way the game plays and with the narrative.

Especially annoyed by the unability to save at checkpoints, only between levels. You have a life and would like to take a break? Too bad! Now restart the level. Frustrating gameplay, inconsistent behaviour from enemies, (sometime's they'll react with split second reflexes others they'll take their time). Levels get repetitive quickly. Had very high expectations for this game. They have benn crushed.

Hotline Miami 2 does what does not happen very often - it is a sequal that is better than the original. In Hotline Miami 2 the mechanics have been fine tuned and the controls are perfect. The horror and gore is still there, but if you can accept it, it is a great game.

This is a game with a hard to understand story, which you will understand as long the game progress. It's funny, multiple ways to do missions, quite hard challenges. The game itself is kinda short, but has ton of replay value.

It is a great game wit a lot "more of the same" content. However, the story is very hard to follow.
