Decent
It's Homeworld alright. Great story but it has way quite a few gameplay flaws that keep it from being as enjoyable as HW1&2. For example you can't skip cut scenes, there are no formations for your units and you can't even properly position them so that they face in the direction you want them to face. It's a decent game that likes to annoy you.

You should look for Ground Control
Really didn't like the game that much, but only because I was looking for a ground-like Homeworld and instead it's a copy of Ground Control, a game also from Sierra, that came out roughly at the same time Homeworld did and that I actually enjoyed better than this. This is not a bad game, but I played like 3 or 4 missions and got bored, and then started to look for my Ground Control Copy.

Decent if it's on sale and you like RTS
If you like RTS games this game is okay. The controls are a little weak, the camera is not good, but it's okay. Not good, not bad, just okay. If you're looking for an introduction to RTS games this one should not be your first choice if you want a good impression.

Good, not Great, RTS
Not a bad RTS game, but falls a bit short compared to classics such as Supreme Commander or the Stronghold games. That's OK. The visuals are very nice, such as explosions and the dust clouds that the vehicles kick up as they speed across the desert. Research is very shallow, the maps are small, and there really aren't that many unit types in the game. The units are very similar between factions. There are two resources you must gather, but they are often found right next to each other. I'm glad I bought the game, since I am a RTS junkie and a Homeworld fan from since it first was released. I was dying to get this game when I first heard about it, which may explain my disappointment. Since I will not use Steam, this is my first chance to get my hands on it. Thanks GOG.

Don't like it.
I am big fun of Homeworld franchise, but this was disappointment for me. Overall is mediocre strategy without tactical depth with great graphics and (for first half) good atmosphere. Sorry guys, I don't like this "Homeworld". End of campaign was liberation for me.
