Not as great as Hollow Knight. I think they did a fantastic job with the level creation, and the platforming movement is better than hollow knight's. It's attempt at creating a more robust combat system fails in comparison to Hollow Knight's, the highest bar. With that said, it's the second best Metroidvania of all time.

I have never played HK before, but I have watched at least 3 complete playthroughs, and I was captivated by the art and lore. I have never played any soul-like or "difficult titles" before, except Cuphead but I didn't beat that game. Knowing that this might actually be out of my league, I decided to try the game out.
Surprisingly it is not as hard as I imagined, most bosses seems defeatable at first try. None of the boss would actually turn me off. The game rewards exploration heavily. If you collect everything you can and grow your arsenal, most challenges would not be too difficult.
The new crests and tools system work great and it gives you tons of customization on your build. That said, I wished we have more useful options on the yellow slot.
The music is not as memorable as the first game. It just doesn't click as much as the first game. The voice acting is amazing.
Can't wait for the DLC.
this game is one of my favorate games the graphics are amazing and the sound track is amazing too all for the cheap price of $19,99 its a must have. also consider playing hollow knight the first game before playing silksong
