Metroidvania wonderlan
this is how a proper 2D game should be like, great music, great atmosphere, great game play, great environment, I am loving every second f this great game. also Linux version works perfectly out of the box.

Solid Dark Souls like game
Great 2D combat and exploration game. If you are a fan of Castlevania or Dark Souls you will enjoy this game. Overcoming challenges and finding new content is the core of the game. At moments you may get stuck with a lack of direction to progress the story. If that is the case I would recommend looking it up online if you want to save time as figuring it out can take a while.

My first Metroidvania
I usually avoided the genre of Metroidvania entirely, but seeking how popular Hollow Knight was, I decided to try it and I wasn't disappointed. The game isn't too challenging, but neither it is a cakewalk. My only problem with this game is that the story seems to borrow a lot from the Dark Souls series.

Beautiful!
To start with, this is my first game of this genre, so I was sceptical. However, just after first few hours I begin to like this game a lot. It has massive amount of content, challanging boss fights, great soundtrack, replayability and preety cool charm system, which lets you make your own build. The story in written simillar to Dark Souls, which means you dont know much at the start and you gain knowledge as you explore the world. Story is very well written, engaging and you fell the need to know it. Theres also one more thing similar to Dark Souls- you collect geo (souls equivalent) from killing monsters. When you die, you leave a shell which needs to be killed in order to regain the geo, because you drop it all when you die. Geo lets you buy things from vendors and upgrade your sword. I achieved 104% completion in under 50 hours and still have DLC content to explore. I can recomend this game to everyone. If you didnt play any game of this genre and you like Dark Souls, theres a high chance you might like Hollow Knight. Looking forward to Silksong!
