If you want to play any hitman play this
Extremely difficult and frustrating, but with really good mechanics. One of the first 3D stealth games. Is not the best hitman, and his graphics and controls aged poorly. But is the origin of this saga and is really fun.

Great idea, poor execution ...
I love the Hitman series - multiple ways of completing your objective, lots of clever tactics, sneaking, picking off people from a distance or planting traps to get the victim to kill himself while you're already out of the building. But this game ... this is one to be avoided. It's just waaay too hard and while it did sire the rest of the series, this is where they made the mistakes they learned from. The biggest mistake, is that the game won't let you save anywhere - combine this with how easy it is to screw up, and you're looking at replaying missions 20-30 times before you succeed. Some parts are random as well and the AI often behaves differently on several retries making it even tougher. If this game had included a limited amount of in-mission saves, it might have been worth playing but this is impossible to recommend now. 3 stars for its historical importance but as a game on its own? 1 star.

Not for modern computers.
I wanted to play Hitman games since they seem interesting and have their popularity, so I started with this one. The game is configured... backwards? Actually, a lower resolution means higher resolution on the settings. I understad it is an old game, but text is so pixelated you cannot read a thing. Due to its inestability on modern computers, it will randomly crash. Games need to be adapted to modern systems. And, although compatibility mode exist, it is not guaranteed to always work or work for everyone. If you want to experience the Hitman franchise, go for the modern games, since those were designed to work on modern computers and operative systems.

Waste of Patience
Completely outdated. Old interface, controls are quite bad (but could be worse); in general it feels clunky. The gameplay relies on trial & error, mind you: no quicksaves; that isn't necessarily bad, but because of the way this game was made, it just punishes you for anything; that means a little mistake (also caused by the game itself) can cause failure. To pass the level, not enough info are given in its design, leaving you with no idea on how to do the objective, thus making it a trial & error. The pacing of the levels is so slow, makin them even worse. Which is amplified by the fact that it is, indeed, a tral & error, making the whole thing you regretting spending money for this piece of software. Stealth and some other mechanics are unclear (if not buggy) and the developers got everything wrong with the IA. This game also requires some tweaking since it's old, but that's not a real problem. Positive notes: the soundtrack is still quite cool. Loved the concept of the game, but it is a horrible execution. A lot of people find it "challenging" or "hard": but i think this is just because of poor design choices that make it difficult. I had some hopes about this game; unfortunately i cannot enjoy it as much as others, and it's just not worth my time.

Lack of save game feature ruined it
Forget Codename 47, Blood Money is the best in Hitman series and will always be.
