Hero's Hour - Deluxe Edition includes:
Hero's Hour
A fast turn-based strategy RPG with real-time combat. Develop your cities and armies, level up your heroes to gain new, powerful spells and skills, and explore the wonders and dangers of the procedurally generated maps as you aim to conquer your enemies before they do the same to you.
Hero’s Hour - Rogue Realms
Rogue Realms is a major expansion to Hero’s Hour, focusing on the wilderness and untamed lands - and the strange creatures, cults and societies that live there. For every great empire with a shiny crown, a downtrodden rogue realm lies in wait, looking for an opportunity to stake its claim.
Please note that saves from the base game are not compatible with the Deluxe Edition.
Got on a whim after watching Splattercat Gaming, kept playing through all the updates. Easily my favorite game if I just want to throw something on to play
I really enjoy this game, it's a faster paced HoMM game with some inspiration taken from places like Warhammer Fantasy and various other places. I only have a few nit-picks regarding it.
One is that I think it needs proper multiplayer or at least LAN multiplayer so that both myself and my friends can play the game and use magic at the same time compared to doing it hotseat without using some 3rd party software.
Another nit-pick is how the game lets you pan away from the map into the darkness beyond the main map. While easily fixed with hitting the map it is still rather annoying.
Later on the game seems to chug a bit, though that could be my computer. In one of the games I noticed that around week 9-11 it was slowing down while trying to move around, though that could simply be my laptop entering low power mode.
With those addressed I think this would be a five star game for me. Love it to bits.
